Heritage Hospice is looking for comfort therapy volunteers who are willing to give of their time to help increase the quality of life of our hospice patients in greater Indiana, Ebensburg and Johnstown areas.
Commitment can be as little as a few hours a month. We are in need of licensed or certified individuals in a variety of therapies, including:
- Aromatherapy
- Art
- Dance & Movement
- Touch Therapy
- Massage
- Music
- Other comfort therapies
Hospice volunteer orientation is provided by Heritage at no cost to you. We focus on your talents and match them with our patients appropriately. Geographical service area is flexible based on where volunter would like to serve.

Description
Heritage Hospice is a family-founded hospice that takes pride in providing our patients with comfort, dignity and peace either in the comfort of their own home or in a skilled facility of their choice.
Hospice care treats the whole person's physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs in the last phase of life. These services may be provided at home, in an inpatient facility, nursing home or in another setting that best suits the needs of the patient and caregivers. Hospice care helps the person to live at home or in the most comfortable setting as long as possible, stay as active as possible, express and accept feelings, assists the family to care for their loved one, manage practical tasks, deal with stress, provide support and feel at peace.
