From time to time, our Big Red's Buddies and Rody's Pals programs will provide services to pet parents who need to be hospitalized or checked in to medical facilities for various reasons. We try to provide a foster family for their pets whenever possible.
Foster parents provide housing, care and love to the pets of others so that they can be reunited when the pet parent returns home.
Our organization provides the food, healthcare for the pet, home visits, and toys - and you provide the home, yard, and love.
We prefer homes without small children only because pets separated from their owners may be frightened or traumatized (in the case of emergency services/ambulances etc) and may react defensively without meaning to harm.
A home visit and interview will be required for all fosters. Assistance with transportation to vet and groomers may be available as well.

Mission Statement
Help pet owners maintain and keep their pets responsibly. Whether they are having financial difficulties or health issues or housing challenges - pets and their human families should stay together if at all possible. This results in less abandoned and owner surrendered pets in shelters (often destined to be destroyed); healthier and happier pets and their families. Provide resources for the community and work with rescues and shelters, including (but not limited to): educational podcasts; Whole Earth Pets Directory of resources; facilitating and training for Fosters and volunteers; joint fundraising events and opportunities. Create jobs within our community that reflect our mission and values.
Description
Whole Earth Pets Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to helping keep pets with their people. We have several programs that include Big Red's Buddies; Rody's Pals; The Whole Earth Pets Foundation Directory of Resources. In development is a Youth Outreach Program, and Whole Earth Pets and People Residential Sanctuaries!
We are a totally volunteer managed organization. There are no paid positions, all donations go to our programs and the animals we support.
