Mission Statement

Our Mission is simple: To assist Veterans of the United States Armed Forces in any way possible, and to raise awareness of the POW/MIA issue.

Description

S.O.S. (Support Our Soldiers) was founded in 2007 after my son-in-law was deployed to Iraq. I learned that the soldiers serving were in need of many basic necessities, so I felt I had to do something. The first year, I held a very successful motorcycle run and raised money for care packages and sent over many, many items to our soldiers.

We now are mainly working with homeless Veterans, supplying them with their needs as much as we can. Donations range from clean socks, food, sleeping bags, etc. We also work with the Family Readiness Groups of local Units anonymously donating food and gift cards to those Veterans and/or their families while they are deployed who are struggling and need a hand.

We are solely a volunteer organization, and rely on our volunteers greatly, so if you would like to help us in our Mission, please contact us at: info@supportoursoldiersma.com. No one in the Corporation, from the Executive Director to our newest volunteer take one penny as payment for services. We do what we do because we believe in our Mission.

Support Our Soldiers, Inc. was incorporated in Massachusetts in 2013 and is a recognized non-profit charitable 501(c)(3) organization.
