Comfort Choice Hospice is looking for Volunteers to intern with the Terminally Ill Community. We are screening qualified individuals who can provide one-on-one interaction with patients to assist with their psychosocial needs.
You will be providing companionship, respite care and ancillary assisted therapies: aroma therapy, art and music therapy.
We offer incentives as well. If you are a student or just an individual who wants to give back. Here is what we offer for our incentive program:
-Resume development
-Letter of Recommendation
-Cerification of Completion in Hospice Volunteer Orientation and Training
-Certification of Excellence: Communication, facility etiquette, etc.
-Gift cards and other awards

Hospice Volunteer Training is a program where we select qualified persons who can fit well with patients who have a terminal illness through several organizations. We match volunteers to Hospices where they will excel the most. We offer training and orientation, continued education for all volunteers, certificates of completion and excellence. Whether volunteers are students trying to gain experience or if you just want to give back to the community. We hope that we find individuals who can successfully achieve their goals and provide helpful assistance to Hospice organizations within the Los Angeles County.
Description
Hospice volunteers provide companionship to people living with a serious illness and help their families caregivers in a variety of ways. Hospice also rely on volunteers to help with office work, fund raising, community outreach and other operational areas.
