Our team is seeking volunteers to establish and build relationships with our patients and their families. Volunteers fill the gap between loved ones and professional caregivers, and provide support and assistance to patients when family and caregivers are not available. Volunteers will be there even when friends and family find it hard to do so. Volunteers don’t have the emotional attachment family does. We provide training to each of our volunteers, to prepare them for this opportunity. Volunteers are unpaid, yet priceless.
Hours are dependent upon each indiviudal volunteer, their request and arranged around their schedule. Even just a few hours goes a long way!!!

Description
Independence Health services provides compassionate care for people facing terminal illness with a life expectancy of less then six months. Hospice care involves a team-oriented approach to expert medical care, pain management, and emotional and spiritual support expressly tailored to the patient's needs and wishes. Our team also ensures that family members have the needed emotional and spiritual support during this transition of life. Your family is our family.
