** All volunteers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination is required. Masks will also continue to be worn by all staff, volunteers and donors.
We are looking for Volunteer Couriers to sub or assist w/delivery runs!
Available Recurring Runs:
- Sundays to Methodist/St. Francis 8:00a
- Mondays to Methodist/St. Francis 8:00a
- Tuesdays to Methodist/St. Francis 8:00a
- Wednesdays to Methodist/St. Francis 8:00a
- Wednesdays Peoria/Pekin (5 hospitals) 9:45am
- Thursdays to Methodist/St. Francis 8:00a
- Fridays to Methodist/St. Francis 8:00a
- Fridays Peoria/Pekin (5 hospitals) 9:45am
- Saturdays to Methodist/St. Francis 8:00a
Delivery drivers can complete Orientation and Training in Peoria and drive a blood center van.
Mobile Pickup Drivers: Volunteer drivers are needed to pickup blood at various mobile blood drives in the Peoria area and transport it to our Davenport, Iowa lab for testing and distribution back to our service hospitals. Flexible days and times. Mileage is reimbursed. Orientation and Training held in Davenport, IA.
Driver Polo provided. Asking for a 6 month commitment or longer. Must be at least 25 and able to pass background check. Some computer use is required.

Description
The Blood Center is a volunteer-based organization that involves volunteer blood donors, a voluntary board of trustees, and community volunteers. Volunteers provide a much needed and valued service to our donors, patients and staff. We serve over 115 hospitals in 4 states and utilize volunteers from many areas to assist in our operations. Headquarters for the organization, as well as component processing, is located in Davenport, Iowa.
