Inspire Philadelphia is seeking a Grant Writer to assist the Executive Director and Board of Directors to identify, write, edit and project manage grant proposals. Volunteer must possess the ability to work independently and with a team utilizing initiative to research and identify grant opportunities.

  • Develops a diversified network of funding organizations in collaboration with the board of directors
  • Identifies funding opportunities to match the organizations vision and funding strategy utilizing a variety of research tools
  • Completes grant application, proposals, letters of inquiry and other required documents
  • Maintains grant calendar and creates database to track submitted, pending and on-going proposals

Description

Inspire Philadelphia is a startup youth and community development nonprofit organization that will provide unique and comprehensive programming, activities, and services to the residents of the Greater Philadelphia area. Inspire Philadelphia’s goal will be to uplift and enrich the lives of Philadelphians. The program will start off with an initial focus on the Kensington section of North Philadelphia, primarily operating programs and activities at Phillip H. Sheridan Elementary School and James G. Blaine Elementary in the Strawberry Mansion section of North Philadelphia.
