Volunteers will ride in the appointed buses to and from Mae Volen Senior Center and prevent distractions to the drivers while the vehicle is in operation.
Assist clients in and out of the buses and make sure they are comfortably seated.
Help clients with their bundles, adjusting them in their wheelchairs and other small tasks as needed-(WITHOUT DOING ANY HEAVY LIFTING)!!

To enhance the well-being of South Florida Seniors, family caregivers, the disabled, and their families by educating and advocating on their behalf and by providing health care and supportive services that meet their physical, emotional, social and psychological needs.
Description
The Center offers the following services and resources: Care management, In Home Services, Early Memory Loss program, Active Senior Programming, Extensive wellness and preventative care programming, Adult Day Care for Alzheimer and Dementia clients, No-Cost Senior Dining, Home Delivered Meals, Volen Community Coach Program including 24 wheel-chair vehicles, Caregiver Support Groups, Information and referral services connecting seniors and caregivers with a wide range of community resources and Hurricane Preparedness and Post storm Education, Spanish-Language Adult Day Care program.
