The 2018 hurricane season has been extraordinarily active in parts of the U.S., with Hurricane Florence currently impacting millions in the Carolinas. As this natural disaster unfolds, the staff here at VolunteerMatch is doing its part to ensure that, if you are in an affected community, you are prepared and safe. And if you are looking to help with disaster relief efforts, you know about the most effective ways to contribute.
As part of our mission we deliver workshops to existing clients and the public on a variety of small business topics. The topics range from very tactical such as how to use specific accounting software to strategic planning for a business. We are seeking a few people to help grow our workshop program by helping us define and develop workshops to be delivered in the Northeast NJ area. The right candidate will understand how to define what topics are needed based on market research and past program performance. They will be able to seek out and establish relationships with presenters. They will evaluate the content and presenters and submit them for approval by the Workshop committee. The Workshop developer will review the client feedback to determine if the workshop should be repeated, the frequency and any changes required to make the program more effective. The actual execution of the workshops may be turned over to workshop administrators or retained as appropriate and desired. The work can largely be done remotely but occasional meetings at our office in Hackensack NJ will be required as will attendance at some number of workshops.
