As a Preschool Literacy Tutor, you serve a classroom of children ages 3-5 to develop their early literacy skills in preparation for kindergarten. You collaborate with the classroom teaching staff to enhance daily literacy opportunities and conduct literacy assessments to ensure children are on track to read by the end of 3rd grade.

Minnesota Reading Corps and Minnesota Math Corps are working to ensure that all Minnesota children become successful readers by the end of third grade, and on track to math proficiency by the end of eighth grade.

Description

Minnesota Reading Corps--the nation’s largest AmeriCorps tutoring program--and Minnesota Math Corps are helping ensure that children become successful readers by the end of third grade and proficient in math by the end of eighth grade. We train and place more than 1,500 literacy and math tutors each year in schools across Minnesota to work with children age 3 through grade 8.
