MADD engages in public outreach activities to heighten awareness of the problem of drinking and drugged driving.

Mothers Against Drunk Driving offers an array of internship opportunities. Interns are given the opportunity to start and finish their own projects. They work closely with staff and may choose to participate in any of the areas below:

Marketing

Communications

Fundraising and Special Events

Non-Profit Management

Public Relations

Community Outreach

Receive hands-on, direct and extensive experience in the development, planning, implementation and execution of events for a well-known non-profit organization. This unpaid internship will provide you with the knowledge and experience necessary for any vocation involving event coordination, fund raising, development, marketing, and/or program management. Though unpaid, the benefits of this internship go far beyond the direct experience you will gain, the priceless experience of making a difference in your community is both inter-personally and professional powerful and valuable. To end drunk driving, help fight drugged driving, support the victims of these violent crimes, and prevent underage drinking.

MADD is the nation's largest nonprofit working to protect families from drunk driving and underage drinking.

Founded by a mother whose daughter was killed by a drunk driver, Mothers Against Drunk Driving(r) (MADD) is the nation’s largest nonprofit working to protect families from drunk driving and underage drinking. With the help of those who want a safer future, MADD’s Campaign to Eliminate Drunk Driving(r) will end this danger on America’s roads. PowerTalk 21(r) is the national day for parents to talk with their kids about alcohol, using the proven strategies of Power of Parents(r) to reduce the risk of underage drinking. And as one of the largest victim services organizations in the U.S., MADD also supports drunk and drugged driving victims and survivors at no charge, serving one person every eight minutes through local MADD victim advocates and at 1-877-MADD-HELP.
