Adult Basic Education tutors give hope and confidence to motivated, Houston-area adults who are ready to transform their lives with better jobs, more economic security, and better communications with their children's teachers, if they could only read and write at higher levels.

Students and classrooms are ready - they just need you! You don't need teaching experience to help, either! We will train you for free, and provide curriculum, resources, and ongoing tutor support. Please email today to sign up for a 1-hour introduction tour, and to learn more.

Time commitment is 12 weeks (24 x 2-hour lessons). Times and days are flexible, based on your availability. See more at: http://www.literacyadvance.org/

Please note, the volunteer manager is on vacation this week, and will respond to your email when she returns the afternoon of Monday, April 16. We look forward to getting you started as soon as she returns! Thank you for your patience!
