African Bridge Network is seeking an individual with fundraising experience interested in volunteering with our organization to support our fundraising efforts. Our mission is to build a supportive community that enables African and skilled immigrants in Massachusetts to leverage their qualifications and experiences to maximize their potential. This person will be working closely with the Executive Director to plan and execute annual fundraising plans.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and executing the annual fundraising plan
• Developing good donor relationships, maintaining database and communication with donors
• Developing and managing efforts to identify, solicit, and communicate with prospects
• Assist in implementing team members’ fundraising initiatives within ABN
• Assist in planning and organizing annual fundraising events
• Assist in developing newsletters and annual report
• Assist on grant proposals

Reports to: The Executive Director

Time Commitment: The Fundraising Coordinator will provide approximately 15 hours a month

Qualifications: Potential volunteers must be motivated and committed to helping others. Some experience in a fundraising role is preferred but not required. This position is ideal for an individual seeking to build a track record in fundraising or who wants to use their fundraising experience to give back to the immigrant community.

Job Location: The work can be done remotely, however, residence in the Greater Boston area is a plus.
