Hospice provides care and comfort to people who are terminally ill and provides support to their families, friends, and caregivers. As a hospice volunteer, you may help in many ways:

The task of a patient care volunteers includes:

• Staying with patients so family members can get a much-needed rest
• Running errands for patients and families
• Reading
• Singing or playing music
• Keeping vigil with patients in their final hours
• Providing a friendly visit to lift patients spirits

These simple yet heartfelt tasks are why hospice volunteers are such an essential part of the Los Feliz Hospice experience.

The task of office volunteer:(Office is in Diamond Bar, CA)

• Assist with answering phones, filing, and any related task during business hours of M-F 9 a.m to 5 p.m

Before starting, you would go through an application process including:

• Fill out and return the volunteer application
• Scheduled interview/orientation during normal business hours
• Complete background check
• Physical exam (Letter from Dr will be fine), and negative TB test
• Provide a copy of Driver's license and proof of Car Insurance
