Our post-surgical area is looking for dynamic, independent volunteers to provide support to staff, patients and their families. When patients come in for a Same Day Surgery procedure, they are taken to PACU (post anesthesia care unit) for their first stage of recovery. Patients are then moved to the final stage of recovery in the Same Day Surgery area.
We are looking for volunteers offer support to make sure that patients are comfortable, communication boards are completed, and assist in the overall patient experience. Volunteers need to be quick learners, able to anticipate staff and patient needs, strong verbal communicators and excel in customer service.
Shifts Available: Fridays from 12:00pm-3:30pm, Tuesdays from 12:00pm-3:30pm and Monday from 12:00pm-3:30pm.

Description
The Mission of the Volunteer Services Department is to develop and maintain an efficient and humanistic volunteer staff which offers an extra dimension of care and service to patients, understanding and empathy for families and visitors, and supportive services for the hospital's staff.
The goal of Volunteer Services is to support the hospital by providing exceptional Guest Relations. We strive to have volunteers serve as a significant link between the hospital and the community so that we are ever mindful of the needs within our community.
