Volunteer will staff ranger station on Cumberland Island. Duties will include conducting camper orientation, issuing camping permits, monitoring campground and presenting 1/2 hour program. Light maintenance of visitor center. Minimum of 40 hours per week.
Cumberland Island is located in southeast Georgia. Summers can be hot and humid with many insects. Access to the island is limited by daily ferry service. Work will include standing and hiking on uneven surfaces and working in variable weather conditions.
Candidates should enjoy solitude and independent living.
