Seeking friendly, outgoing people who have the capacity to make visitors and patients feel welcome and supported when they enter the hospital. The volunteer greets and assists visitors and patients with directions, wheelchairs and general information. Greeters are an important part of the volunteer team in the main lobby. They must be able to develop a friendly rapport with volunteers & employees who staff the information desk, golf cart shuttle service and patient registration. The goal is to make visitors feel welcome and provide assistance in the main lobby. Volunteers should be capable of standing, walking and pushing wheelchairs for short distances. Their personal attributes should include kindness, respect, patience and a good sense of humor. Training is provided.
