The mission of Goodwill Industries of Central Iowa is to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities or other barriers to employment by providing skill development and work opportunities to acheive self-sufficiency.
Periodically throughout the year, we hold a social event for our clients, giving them an opportunity to get out of the house, meet friends and build social skills. But many of our clients aren't able to provide their own transportation to these events, due to their disability. We need volunteers to drive Goodwill vans to pick up some of our clients, and give them a ride to and from the party.
For a calendar of events, call Rodney at 515-265-5323 (x265). Ask what events are coming up, or even ask to be put on an email list to be notified when a volunteer need comes up within Goodwill.
