The Successful Start Kindergarten Program is an opportunity for those who realize the importance of children starting out their school career with as much information as possible.
The Successful Start Kindergarten Program is a curriculum broken down into 10 one hour weekly lessons for children aged 3-5. This program will work with the refugee children of US Together on the most basic yet essential kindergarten readiness skills such as:
1) Writing their name
2) Scissor practice
3) Upper and lowercase letters
4) Couting to 20 and 1-10 recognition
5) One to one correspondence
6) patters, shapes, comparative words, etc...
7) sequencing
The Program Intern would be an excellent fit for someone who is in an early teacher education program, a retired teacher looking for a volunteer opportunity, or someone else who has previous or present exposure to early childhood learning.
