The Community Centre Manager (CCM) is responsible for the performance of the community centre, meeting the centre objectives, and running of daily classes. These classes include providing a range of English, computer and life skills classes. The CCM will be accountable for daily administration, monthly accounts of the centre and community engagement in the form of organizing monthly community events and networking and identifying NGOs. This position includes planning, developing, coordinating, implementing and evaluating a range of community initiatives. The CCM is the main point of contact between the Community Centre and the organization.

Key Tasks:

Teaching (60%)

  • Planning and preparing classes;

  • Teaching according to the educational needs of pupils;

  • Teach according with SOLS 24/7 language system;

  • Attain and maintain student participation at your community centre.

Community Engagement (25%)

  • Daily management of a community centre;

  • Collaborate and work with local community leaders for any administrative matters;

  • Establish and maintain good relationships with local community;

  • Create and implement community activities such as sports, community clean up, etc.

Other activities (15%)

  • Handle and oversee the administrative details of community centre management;

  • Give students advice on future careers (including information about sources for expert advice);

  • Participate in formal and non-formal functions for SOLS 24/7 Malaysia;

  • Prepare the administrative and reporting tasks such as a weekly and a monthly report;

  • Any other necessary tasks as requested by his/her supervisor.

  • Bachelor's Degree academic qualification.

  • Passionate about teaching, community development and helping the underprivileged.

  • IELTS, TOEFL, Cambridge or any other English qualifications are an added advantage.

  • If a candidate is shortlisted for the interview. and does not possess any English qualification he/she will be required to complete an English assessment (a link will be sent in the interview invite) prior to the interview.

  • High Proficiency/Native speakers in English

  • Work experience as well as leadership and management skills
