Are you interested in public health and holistic medicine? Sewa International Houston's Stop Diabetes Movement (SDM) is seeking volunteers to aid with community outreach!
From last year, Sewa International Houston has hosted specialized yoga camps to help diabetic and pre-diabetic individuals manage their health through the Stop Diabetes Movement (SDM). The Houston division of SDM operates in tandem with medical institutions such as MD Anderson to offer holistic treatment to people across Houston.
As a volunteer, you would help identify communities that would benefit from SDM yoga camps. You would also aid in finding venues where future SDM camps can be held.

Mission Statement
Sewa USA is a grass-root organization aspiring to spread the message of service to low income families of Houston (SEWA). Whether it is a disaster or a daily struggle for an average person, committed volunteers of Sewa take that extra mile to ensure that a helping hand and a loving heart is not away from the individuals in need, wherever they are and whenever they need it. When Katrina hit in Louisiana , hundreds of families came with Sewa to provide food and shelter to the victims of the disasters. We opened our homes for affected people and provided helping hand. Similarly Sewa volunteers and affiliated NGOs worked to provide relief to victims of Ike in Galveston, Tsunami in South Asia, flood in Guyana and so on. We carry the same spirit of service in day to day life and wish to make this world a better place with every moment we live.
