Many hands make light work and a BIG DIFFERENCE at Cat Crusaders.
We’re looking for a brigade of enthusiastic volunteers that can commit four hours a month to support our mission to rescue homeless, neglected and abused cats and kittens in greater Tampa, then care for them until adoption from our New Tampa PetSmart location.
Here are some of the positions available. Pick one that would be a good fit for you:
KENNELERS - Nothing is more FUN than spending time with cute, lively kittens and sweet, loving cats. As an adoption center kenneler, that’s exactly what you get to do. We schedule kenneling at the New Tampa PetSmart Adoption Center weeknights and weekend days. You can volunteer for times that work for you-once a week or once a month. There are opportunities for families to kennel together, too, allowing parents to teach their children the value of service to others in need.
TEEN OPPORTUNITIES - If you are a teenager at least 15 years old looking for service hours, you’ve come to the right place. Teens can work on Saturdays or Sundays kenneling. A minimum six month commitment is requests and time-worked counts towards Bright Futures.
ADOPTION CENTER COUNSELORS - Nothing is more GRATIFYING than saving a helpless, four-legged life. At the end of a three or four-hour shift at the New Tampa PetSmart Adoption Center you’ll find a life purpose by helping homeless cats or kittens find their forever loving home, while making room in the Cat Crusaders adoption program for one that might have been otherwise euthanized at the local shelter. You can work mornings or afternoons on Saturdays or Sunday s, ideally, twice a month.
FOSTERS. Nothing is more FULFILLING than to nurture a homeless cat or kitten, then see it thrive and find a loving, committed pet parent. As a foster, you’ll have the support of a team of volunteers to help coordinate medical care and answer care questions, as well as coordinate space for your fosters at the New Tampa PetSmart Adoption Center.
EVENTS AND FUNDRAISING - No limits to channeling your inner creative self. If you like people, have strong organizational skills and like to make a difference, this is a great opportunity.
OTHER - Off-site volunteers welcome for other tasks such as social media, sewing, video editing, website, database and other skills that ou may be able to offer (must be 21-years-old for off-site opportunities).
JOIN OUR TEAM of volunteers that make a difference every day. The more volunteers we have the more lives we save!
