I hope you are well and thank you for being interested in volunteering with Liberty Hospice! I would love to tell you more! We are always looking for caring volunteers to visit our hospice patients. Our office covers the Burlington and Greensboro area. Some of our hospice patients live in a facility where staff is taking care of them and some live at home with their family taking care of them. All of our volunteers have to go through a training process that is online as well as a drug screen and background check. Once all this is clear and complete, I then match you with a hospice patient. We like the volunteers to visit their patient once a week so you really get to know them and they get to trust and know you as well! Volunteers do not provide any personal care like bathing but rather socialization and companionship by talking with them, doing like review, looking at photos or magazines, or whatever the patient is capable of doing.

VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
We are always looking for new volunteers to join our team. Our dedicated team of volunteers provide caring support for both the hospice recipient and his or her loved ones. Volunteers are an important part of the hospice philosophy. You are there to hold a hand and listen, read or write a letter, run errands or even help out in our office. No matter what your skills, talents or motivation, we have the opportunity for you to help.
