The War Horse is searching for a candidate proficient in both workflow and targeted messaging on multiple channels. The ideal candidate will be proficient with organizing and developing our Salesforce donor database. We need someone who can analyze data and proactively identify opportunities. The candidate MUST have experience with organizing fundraising information. Prospective volunteer must be aware of donor demographics and the geographic scope of donor businesses. The ideal candidate will be aware of the donor’s decision-making process and their involvement with nonprofits.
Qualifications include:
Prior experience with CRM management, computer and/or information systems.
Ability to organize contacts for ready recall.
Ability to engage fundraising sources in a tailor-made way.

Description
The War Horse is a non-profit investigative journalism outlet and member of The Institute for Non-Profit News. Our areas of coverage include the Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs. In addition, we will also profile all men, women, and military working dogs killed since 9/11.
Journalism is about documenting the human experience. It is the act of listening, observing, recording, and publishing stories about people-and doing so fairly and accurately. The War Horse will be home to the most in-depth documentation of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Stories from individuals who were on the ground, the Generals who led them, and the friends and family who support them from home will provide context for thinking about these wars and the wars that haven't yet been waged.
