Project Vision Hawai`i is a mobile vision screening program who will be partnering with Hope Services Friendly Place, once a quarter, to offer vision exams to people who are homeless.

We are looking for an optometrist, licensed to work in Hawai`i, to volunteer to provide exams to the clients of Hope Friendly Place. The events occur every three months, on a Wednesday, from 8:30 am - noon. Currently, the following dates need an eye doctor: July 20, October 19, January 18, and April 19.

Project Vision Hawai`i provides the paperwork, and staff/volunteers to do far / near vision screening, OTC reading glasses, and follow-up for participants who have abnormal retinal scans. Our RV houses a retinal camera, autorefractor, plusoptiX autorefractor camera for children, a slit lamp, phoropter, and ophthalmoscope for exams.
