Volunteer victim advocates needed! The Victim Services Division of the Pima County Attorney’s Office, will be recruiting volunteers to attend a six-week crisis intervention training starting Fall 2019.

Volunteer victim advocates respond to crime scenes to support victims of crime of support victims through the criminal justice system. This training is well-structured, comprehensive and hands-on. It teaches basic crisis intervention skills, concepts and techniques, while examining various types of crimes and victimization dynamics, including common trauma reactions. Many of our volunteers go on to work in fields like law enforcement, social work, mental health services, and victim advocacy.

Crisis Intervention and Victimology Training and Volunteer Opportunity This is a well-structured, comprehensive and hands-on training, teaching basic crisis intervention skills, concepts and techniques. Volunteers respond to work with crime victims at the request of law enforcement. Volunteers can expect to get hands-on experience working with victims of crime on scene and in the courtroom. Many of our volunteers go on to work in fields like law enforcement, social work, mental health services, and victim advocacy.
