ABOUT CAN'S EDUCATIONAL SUMMER CAMPS
Would you like to work with children and youth this summer?
Volunteer at one of CAN's 6-week Educational Summer Camps this summer! CAN's summer camps will likely be at 5 different locations in Washtenaw County.
CAN Educational Summer Camp Volunteers work with rising 1st-4th grade students during morning academic rotations (10am-12pm) to practice math, reading, and geography, as well as engage in additional academic & social-emotional enrichment activities. There is also some free time to play and make meaningful connections with CAN’s children and youth.
CAN's Educational Summer Camps will operate June-August (official dates TBD), Monday-Thursday from 10:00am-5:00pm. There are some opportunities to volunteer in the afternoons from 1-4pm, but afternoons are usually less structured as activities are more varied.
Volunteers commit to helping one day a week for the whole 6 weeks, or 2 full weeks, Mon-Thurs (they do not need to be consecutive weeks).
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old, complete an online application, background check, and training.
