Would you like to work with children and youth this summer?
Volunteer at one of CAN's 6-week Educational Summer Camps this summer!
10:00am-12:00pm:
Volunteers assist with morning academic rotations (math, reading, geography) and build meaningful relationships during snack and free times. While the campers are developing their academic skills, volunteers are also role modeling important social-emotional skills, such as resilience, positive self-esteem, self-awareness, responsible decision making, and relationship skills (to name a few)!
2:00pm-4:00pm:
Volunteers partner with campers to explore and experiment with food through the lens of art & design, helping campers develop skills in scientific inquiry, research and presentation, collaboration, math, science, social studies, and more (and we all *finally* get to play with our food)!
CAN's Educational Summer Camps will operate every Monday through Thursday, 10:00am-5:00pm from June 24 through August 2, 2024 at most locations (details may vary by site). There will not be summer camp on July 4 or 5, 2024.
Volunteers commit to a minimum of 2 hours per week over the course of the 6 weeks.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to volunteer without an adult chaperone, complete an online training, and background check(if 18+)
