Position Description:

This is a great opportunity for individuals looking into non-profit community work and gaining exposure to the intricacies of financial counseling and economics! The Financial Counseling Division seeks a Financial Counseling Volunteer to assist with client follow-up and credit pulls.

This volunteer project would entail:

• Helping to pull credit reports and informing financial counselors of update

• Maintaining the database for the credit pulls

• Editing our Financial Counseling Toolkit as needed

• Helping with other administrative and data entry based projects

Qualifications:

• Passion for our mission to help low-income New Yorkers

• Basic Excel and computer skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Education or experience in Economics or Finance is a plus

• Must maintain organization confidentiality

Commitment:

• Flexible scheduling available: 1-2 days a week - 2-4 hours

• Time frame: 1 - 3 months with the possibility for longer
