Committee Objective: Provide input to and participate in raising funds to support the work of UpROAR Leadership Academy.
Skills, Attributes, and Prerequisites- Commitment to the vision, mission, and goals of UpROAR Leadership Academy
- Understanding of ULA as a charitable organization
- Willingness to make a personal annual contribution to ULA and to solicit others
- Member in good standing of ULA
- Provide input into development of the annual campaign, including direct mail, personal solicitation, and events fundraising (including annual conference, private events, silent auction, etc.)
- Engage in the execution of all aspects of the annual fundraising campaign, including marketing efforts, personal solicitation, and the acknowledgement process
- Help plan and implement campaigns to solicit funds from the ULA community and beyond
- Help to identify new prospects and potential funders
- Report activities and communicate to the Chair of the Fundraising Committee
- Liaise and communicate as appropriate with the Founder/President
- Preparation for and participation in up to once monthly conference calls (as needed)
- Allocation of time to meet with or contact donors or prospects
- Costs associated with participating in fundraising events will be the responsibility of the volunteer committee member
- Volunteer Committee members serve up to five consecutive one-year terms
- Committee reports directly to the ULA Board of Directors

New Way Foundation is a not for profit organization dedicated to working with children, families, and the community countywide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustices.
New Way Foundation sister organization UpROAR Leadership Academy is nonprofit charter school envisioned while serving our country in Afghanistan by one of the founding board members. The focus showcases an emphasis on educating cadets to be leaders by concentrating on high academic standards as well as life skills. Our culture is on the structure of quasi-military environment to ensure that our cadets succeed in our seven core competencies: academics, vocational, life skills, healthy living and physical fitness, community service, and productive citizens.
