Love Your Block-- Richmond Chapter

The Richmond Community Services Department is looking for a Communications Intern to support the Love Your Block Initiative in a variety of areas, with a special focus on social media. Love Your Block is a 3-year, high-impact service strategy in which city departments will engage community members in revitalizing their neighborhoods by having residents decide on what they want to change. We need your help in getting the word out about this awesome opportunity and show casing last years grantee projects. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in writing, graphic design, and social media management.

Mission Statement

The Richmond Tool Lending Library is a free service that lends building, landscaping, and artistic tools to Richmond residents with the goal of providing more opportunities to be self-sufficient, independent, and curious. The Richmond Tool Lending Library provides a space for community members to take on creative and ambitious projects, to become even prouder of their city and community, and to reconstruct the way outsiders view this city. Together we build a sense of community by working collaboratively with neighbors on projects and by joining forces with the city towards a shared vision. Through this resource we reinforce local resilience and collective ownership of this beautiful city by the bay.

Description
