Help us start a new book club using the Next Chapter Book Club model! In Next Chapter Book Clubs, community volunteers join adults with disabilties to read and discuss books at a local coffeehouse each week. The club reads aloud and discusses books of their choosing. Anyone can participate in a NCBC book club regardless of their reading level. Book clubs generally consist of five members and two volunteer facilitators to keep members engaged in the activity. Training provided to volunteers. Staff and transportation provided for participants with disabilities. National model. Great program. CCBDD already has a few active NCBC's in the Cleveland area. It's just such a good program - we'd like to creat more NCBCs so others can join in on the fun!
