There are over 8,000 children who are in the care and/or custody of DCF. We are seeking volunteers to help us in making decisions about their futures. The Volunteer Case Review Program offers a unique opportunity for community members to work alongside DCF to make a difference in the lives of children and families. Volunteers of the Case Review Program participate as members of a three-member case review panel which determines whether:

  • Continued placement of a child in DCF care and/or custody is safe, necessary and appropriate.
  • The tasks in the service plan have been completed.
  • Progress has been made towards the determined goal.
  • The projected date for the permanent goal to be achieved is appropriate.
