Maximize your strategic communications skills and expertise to help us design and develop our communication strategy and rebrand as well as communicate the Tuskegee Airmen Scholarship Foundation’s (TASF) message to individuals, communities, and donors. Utilize your expertise to help us develop and share our compelling story, build TASF brand awareness and grow volunteer base as well as foundation and corporate partnerships and donor support. Work with executive leadership in shaping our vision utilizing creative and innovative approaches.

Key responsibilities may include (some but not all):

1. Work with executive leaders to develop and execute a communication strategy for external audiences
2. Guide rebranding strategy. Build PR plans to expand the visibility of the organization
3. Develop and implement results-driven marketing and communications campaigns that support TASF’s goals and objectives
4. Develop and implement an online communications strategy including email marketing and social media activation
5. Assist in leading direct marketing fundraising initiatives through online and offline channels
6. Develop a communication strategy that appeal to a younger generation of donors by implementing new technologies associated with smartphones and a mobile responsive website
7. Manage TASF’s reputation by supporting the historical implications of the Tuskegee Airmen and their impact on social justice and equality

8. Prepare a thought-leadership and advocacy strategy for TASF

This is a Volunteer opportunity working onsite in the offices at TASF’s headquarters in Los Angeles, CA. Some work can be done from home in collaboration with the Resource Development Committee and VP Resource Development. From time to time the Coordinator will work evening and weekend hours to accommodate volunteers and donors, or to address time-sensitive opportunities.
