The William Cullen Bryant Homestead, the 19th century home of American poet and conservationist William Cullen Bryant, provides an exciting opportunity to learn the stories of our past including Bryant's personal story and contributions to history as we know it. Bryant is known as America's first nature poet, a suffragist who helped get Lincoln elected, and more.
Availability between 10:30 and 3:30 once a week for 2 hrs or more preferred.
New volunteers are invited to meet staff, experience the tours and shadow current guides as first steps. Monthly volunteer appriciation days at various properties plus onsite benefits (tour passes, access to resource library, beverages, etc) and state wide recognition opportunities available to all volunteers.
Tours occur at 11 am, 1pm and 2pm on Saturdays and Sundays, late April through June, then also Fridays, late June through August. Additional tours are also scheduled s part of large single day and fall/winter holiday events.
