Those who are afraid to get their hands dirty, turn back now. The Lake Skinner Recreation Area is in need of Recycling Leaders! What does a Recycling Leader do? To put it simply, they keep the wheels turning on the RivCoParks Recycles program by getting elbow-deep in bottles and cans. They walk the campground emptying recycling bins, sorting bottles and cans and removing trash. When the recycling collection is nice and huge, a Recycling Leader loads it into a truck and drives it to a nearby recycling center and redeem it for cold, hard cash! (They don't get to keep it, though.) Even if you can't drive, we may still have an opportunity for you.
The work of Recycling Leaders helps keep the campground clean and sustainable. If you're up to the task, then email Brian, the Recycling Coordinator, at bpennington@rivcoparks.org.
