J&S Dreamland Express

Provide laughts and adventures on the J&S Dreamland Express by volunteering to drive (Engineer) or safety (Conductor) for our little train down at Columbia Park on Saturdays and Sundays in the afternoons. All proceeds from this fun ride go back into area schools and programs.

Mission Statement

The Kiwanis Club of the Horse Heaven Hills performs community service in the Mid-Columbia region of Washington State, with special emphasis on youth service. *To give primacy to the human and spiritual, rather than to the material values of life. *To encourage the daily living of the Golden Rule in all human relationships. *To promote the adoption and application of higher social, business, and professional standards. *To develop, by precept and example, a more intelligent, aggressive, and serviceable citizenship. *To provide, through this club, a practical means to form enduring friendships, to render altruistic service, and to build a better community. *To cooperate in creating and maintaining that sound public opinion and high idealism which make possible the increase of righteousness, justice, patriotism, and goodwill.

Description

Through club projects and programs we promote and support our area children as well as international causes. Horse Heaven Hills Kiwanis specifically runs the J&S Dreamland Express, named after James E. Saunders who tragically lost his life in the line of duty protecting our community. All proceeds from the operations of this train fund scholarships, programs and community organizations who's interest is in improving the lives and education of children in the Mid-Columbia.
