Join our nationally recognized Volunteer in Paradise (VIP) program, recently certified by Points of Light as a Service Enterprise and in 2017 granted the Arizona School Boards Association Golden Bell Award. Community members are invited to become VIPs and provide academic assistance and mentoring to students in kindergarten to sixth grade. Work 1:1 or with small groups of students in math and/or reading either on campus or online.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Volunteer in Paradise program in the Paradise Valley Unified School District is to increase student achievement by providing instructional assistance and the individual attention of dedicated, high-quality volunteers while also promoting positive school and community partnerships.
Description
VIP volunteers provide one-on-one and small group instruction on campus and online to children in grades K-8. Volunteers are paired with teachers based on their interests and schedules, and receive the training needed to become effective, confident tutors.
