Are you concerned about the amount of food waste in our system? Are you passionate about helping feed your community? Then do something about it today! The Volunteers of America Everett Food Bank receives a significant portion of our fresh food from "grocery rescue." This means that we pick up the food grocery stores don't want. Many times the food is still good but the grocery store needs to push it out for new product. If we don't pick it up, it goes to waste.
Use your personal van, SUV, or truck, to help us pick up food! We also train volunteer drivers to use our trucks to pick up food. Shifts are available every weekday morning. We ask volunteers to commit to at least 2 shifts weekly.
If you have questions, please email food@voaww.org. To sign up, fill out an application at www.voaww.org/adultvolunteer
