Great Lakes Caring Hospice, a leading care provider in the Midwest, is looking to add volunteers to our team. We are searching for volunteers who are passionate about making a difference, self-motivated, brimming with creativity and up for a challenge.
Providing end of life care for patients and families is no easy task. Volunteers will learn to embrace the hospice philosophy as they navigate end of life care. Our administrative volunteers are an essential part of our team!
Hours are flexible however, volunteering must be done during business hours which are Monday through Friday from 8am-5pm.
Most volunteers spend 1-2 hours per week in our office assisting with computer work, filing, copying, answering telephones and helping with special projects.

Time is limited, yet of eternal value. What makes it so is how you use it and to whom you give it. Share your gift of time with a patient on their end-of-life journey. No special skills are necessary, just a listening ear and an open heart. It will be some of the most rewarding time you’ll ever spend.
Elara Caring Hospice is currently looking for Volunteers: Companion Volunteers, Pet Therapy, Veteran Volunteers, Office Volunteers, and Crafting Volunteers. We have patients in need in outlying areas as well as the Grand Rapids Area. These areas include Grand Rapids, Big Rapids, Wayland/ Hastings, Greenville, Rockford, Holland, and Saugatuck/Douglas.
