We are seeking compassionate, creative individuals looking to spend time with patients and their loved ones throughout San Diego County.
Hospice Volunteers are an integral part of our interdisciplinary team at Advantage Hospice, working with our staff to meet the needs of our patients and families.
Volunteers provide support in many ways: to help enhance the patient's quality of life, reduce the family's caregiving burden, assist with household tasks or errands, provide bereavement support after a patient passes, and even helping with administrative tasks at our office, if desired. Every hospice volunteer has something special and significant to contribute, and we welcome and encourage new ideas.

Description
The focus of Hospice relies on the belief that each of us has the right to die pain-free and with dignity, and that our loved ones will receive the necessary support to allow us to do so.
Hospice focuses on caring, not curing and in most cases care is provided in the person’s home.
Hospice care also is provided in freestanding hospice centers, hospitals, nursing homes and other long-term care facilities.
Hospice services are available to patients of any age, religion, race, or illness.
Hospice care is covered under Medicare, Medi-Cal, most private insurance plans, HMOs, and other managed care organizations.
