"The last good thing that may happen in a person's life is a hospice volunteer". We are looking for individuals to make friendly visits in their free time to spend time with hospice patients. Volunteers can socialize, do crafts, play games, or simply hold a hand. Volunteers have fun meeting new people and making a difference during this special time in their life. Volunteers receive 8 hours of training in the Heartland Hospice office, then the volunteers can make visits anywhere in our service area. We serve patients in home and facility settings.
