Interlock Media, Inc. located near Google in Kendall Square, MA, is an activist film company that points to solutions for environmental, human rights and public health challenges. We support informed policy by producing entertaining documentary and dramatic media works.

Aspiring or emerging makeup artist needed for independent documentaries. We currently have a world-class documentary and one low-budget feature in production, as well as a series of multichannel shorts.

Qualifications: The ideal makeup-artist should have some actual experience and knowledge of makeup artistry and maintaining makeup continuity during shooting. Experience on-set is also a plus. We applaud excellent communication skills, a desire to learn, and a proactive attitude.

Flexibility and initiative in a resource-limited environment are a must. Must have ability to establish and promote good working relationships.

Experience in the following skill sets preferred, but not required:

  • an understanding of period and current fashion

  • excellent practical make-up and technical skills

For our part, we are dedicated to your hands on training and participation from day one.

Hours: Min. 15 hours/week. Additional hours are welcomed. Position is typically 4 months.

Compensation: None.

Location: Convenient access to public transportation and just across the river from Boston.

Description

Interns participate in all aspects of film and media production, including: research writing coordination of crews participation in shoots participation in film editing scriptwriting production of print materials any task that may arise

Salary: None Qualifications:

Interns must have strong communication skills, a desire to learn, and a pro-active attitude. The following skills and experience are preferred, but not required: superior writings skills technical ability computer skills (mac platform) experience with camera, lighting, or other gear.
