Interim HealthCare Gift of Hospice

  • 29 people are interested

Gift of Hospice is seeking committed, caring, and organized volunteers to help our staff with weekly "tuck-in" calls to patients. A script and training is provided. Volunteers call to check in on patients and make sure they have everything they need for the weekend in terms of medication refills, supplies, etc. Calls need to be made in the office on Thursdays.

This opportunity allows you to support the hospice team without direct face-to-face patient contact. We offer a casual and welcoming office environment and a wonderful opportunity to learn about hospice. Our mission is to give patient and family empowered care, preserving dignity and providing comfort.

NO previous hospice experience is necessary!! We provide comprehensive training as well as ongoing education and support. Please note due to Medicare regulations, all volunteers must pass a drug screen, 2 step TB test, and a background check, all provided by our agency at no cost.
