girls change the world

Did you know that Girl Scouts is the largest leadership organization for girls in the world? Currently, there are about 2.7 million girl and adult members worldwide!

Girl Scouts of the Jersey Shore (GSJS) is looking for Spanish speakers who can represent our organization as volunteer Girl Scout Recruiters at various community events with large populations of Spanish-speaking attendees.

Do you want to volunteer your skills to be a part of the 100+ year history of Girl Scouts?

Our ultimate goal is to positively impact as many girls as possible and increase the marketshare of new girl and adult Girl Scout members in Monmouth & Ocean Counties, and your help can make this happen!

As a Girl Scout Recruiter, you would play a critical role in lead generation by representing GSJS; you would help educate the public, and also help to provide information to Spanish-speaking parents on the amazing opportunities available for girls particpating in Girl Scouts, and also Adults volunteering with Girl Scouts.

Training and support would be provided by the GSJS Recruitment Department.

Must be fluent in Spanish and have a passion for Girl Scouts and women's empowerment. Volunteer with GSJS and make a difference!

Mission Statement

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence and character, who make the world a better place.

Description

Founded in 1912, Girl Scouts of the USA is the preeminent organization for girls with a current membership of 3.6 million girls and adults. Volunteers use their expertise, skills, interests, and life experience to shape fun and enriching leadership experiences for girls, and inspire them to reach their personal best. Volunteers help council staff facilitate the New Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girls through exciting program opportunities: leadership/self-esteem, financial literacy, travel, health/wellness, science, technology, engineering, and math. Volunteers choose from several flexible Pathways (the ways that girls and adults join Girl Scouting) that fit their lifestyles, including short-term or long-term service working either directly or indirectly with girls, and they can participate regionally, nationally, and internationally.
