This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable communication, coordination and relationship-building experience at an expanding non-profit in Omaha, NE! Our agency has 3 day center sites and 6 group homes which means ample opportunities to engage with the Omaha community and make a difference in the lives of people with intellectual disabilities. This is a part time opportunity, 10-15 hours per week. This position has the flexibility to work on and off-site.

The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for the following:

-Maintain an updated list of volunteer opportunities at our group homes and day center sites

-Point of contact for interested volunteers, understand their availability and how they want to help us; then match the volunteer with a department/volunteer opportunity.

-Provide volunteer with on-boarding paperwork and send completed paperwork to Mosaic National office for processing.

-Follow up with volunteers and learn of their experience; document/photograph their experience for use on social media, internal newsletter, etc.

-Invite volunteers to our Discover the Possibilities tours. These are monthly informational tours and they are how we introduce members of our community to the mission of Mosaic.

Mosaic in Omaha partners with people with intellectual disabilities to create a meaningful life in a caring community, giving a voice to their needs. Currently we are servicing approximately 270 individuals with intellectual disabilities. The supports we provide are tailored to the goals and needs of each person. Mosaic offers a wide array of residential settings in the Omaha area to best accommodate the individual needs of each person. We also offer supported employment which helps people take that final step toward vocational independence.
