We are looking for a Social Media Intern volunteer to help us share our magazine articles, promote our talented writers, and encourage and inspire our readers through our Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest accounts. Time Most social media outlets can be automated, so time is flexible with regards to your own productivity. For example, you can spend a few minutes scheduling Facebook posts with will automatically be posted throughout the week. Responsibilities Assisting the Editor-in-Chief on marketing strategy and developing a unique and consistent voice and personality of the magazine Creating, developing and executing marketing strategies and setting goals for each social media outlet. Writing copy for Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram to accompany images and/or links. Skills Clear communication and copy editing skills a must. Familiarity with the different social media outlets styles and requirements. You must enjoy social media yourself and delight in making connections and building community in this way. Experience and/or quick learning of Hootsuite, an online social media scheduling application.
