Essential Duties:
- Updating online community event calendars
- Adding/updating keywords to photos on our media server
- Creating press lists in excel and archiving press received as PDFs
- Copying articles written about the Garden
- Writing notes to hotel concierges and journalists
- Take photos of internal events for use in our Garden Path magazine and/or social media sites
- Update and assist adding blog posts, photos, and more to our wordpress site
- Update and assist with social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube)
Position requirements:
- Must be able to commit to one two hour shift per week. The day of week, whether Monday-Friday is flexible
- Minimum volunteer commitment of 1 year required
- Strong computer skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Flexible schedule
- Demonstrated experience working in a collaborative work environment
- Must be able to work efficiently in an open office environment
Position Preferences:
- Proficient in WordPress, social media, and general online savviness
- Demonstrated forward-thinking; possesses a proactive work ethic
- Interest in Japanese culture and history, or landscape design and horticulture.
- Experience with MediaValet or another cloud based software.
