Mission Statement
Golden Opportunities for Independence's mission is to train and pair English Type Golden Retrievers with people living with disabilities as a means to facilitate confident and independent lifestyles.
Description
Our program is unique in that we offer supportive social programs for service dog recipients by involving them in training from the beginning. Recipients take part in organized training sessions, puppy socialization outings, and supportive social groups.
We use research-based positive dog training methods proven to produce behaviorally stable dogs. Our success in training without force or intimidation is evident in our trained service dogs and results in happy, confident companions.
