At Habitat for Humanity of North Augusta, we build one house each year. Many individuals and groups volunteer to help us build. Because our volunteer pool and the construction tasks constantly change, we need a Volunteer Coordinator who can work in conjunction with the Construction Coordinator to ensure a sufficient number of volunteers are on hand when needed. The Volunteer coordinator generally makes arrangements with volunteers through email.
In addition, the coordinator needs to visit the construction site when volunteers are onsite to sign them in, cover safety procedures, etc. Volunteers are needed on most Saturdays during the 6-8 months when a house is under construction.
For reporting purposes, the Volunteer Coordinator must keep track of the number of hours each individual works. This can be a spreadsheet, paper, or whatever mechanism the coordinator chooses.
Optionally, the Coordinator is welcomed to grab a power tool and help with construction while he or she is on site.
Note: We will complete a house at the end of August. Therefore, it may be several weeks before volunteers and the Coordinator are needed for the next project.

Description
Habitat for Humanity of North Augusta (HFHNA) is part of Habitat for Humanity International, a global, nonprofit housing organization dedicated to eliminating substandard housing locally and worldwide. We build a house each year in North Augusta that is then sold to a deserving, low-income family.
HFHNA is unique in that our entire organization is comprised of volunteers. A wide variety of talents contribute to our success. While you may typically think of construction activities when you think of Habitat, we also need professional services such as finance, public relations, social media, legal, real estate, fund raising, etc. Our opportunities provide volunteers with the flexibility to set their own hours and to work from their own home or office.
