Combined Federal Campaign

About the CFC

The Combined Federal Campaign(CFC) is an annual fundraising drive that provides an opportunity for federal civilian, postal, and military employees to donate to local, national, and international non-profit organizations.

The mission of the CFC, which was established by President John F. Kennedy in 1961, is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost-efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.

The CFC is the world?s largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with 209 campaigns located throughout the country and internationally. In 2010, federal employees contributed $281.5 million to 25,000 non-profit organizations through the CFC.

The CFC runs from September 1st through December 15th each year. The Office of Personnel Management Office of CFC Operations administers the CFC.

Federal employees can contribute to Silver Lining Villages through the Combined Federal Campaign. Our CFC number is #41217, which is listed on their website every year. Last year we had a few donors who found us only through the website, with no effort to market on our part. We would like to build on that this year. Learn more here:

Silver Lining Villages works to help veterans get their lives back on track, and reintegrate into society after serving their country. Your contributions assist us in this effort, and ongoing contributions allow us to have greater stability in services.

Our services are which are free are needed by low income veterans we serve, and those who have not found work yet after leaving active duty. Although we receive some foundation grants and corporate sponsorships, these income sources are not nearly enough to meet the demand for our assistance and services. We depend on people like you to make charitable, tax-deductible donations to fulfill our mission of bringing a brighter future to the people who protect our country. Your donations will help us expand our activities to meet the demand for our assistance by veterans and their families.
